To Bangladesh?

Tourism in Bangladesh, a contrast in itself. Bangladesh is reduced generally to textile factories, poverty, environmental disasters and corruption. A significant tourism does not exist. But the country is more, much more! The mighty rivers of Asia, impenetrable jungle, tea plantations, lonely coasts, mega cities, small settlements, vibrant markets, historical legacies, rich flora and fauna, ethnic minorities – which is also Bangladesh! So why not plunge into a world of intense life, full of passion, adventure and bizarre happiness, far from the standard tourist track?

Bangladesh, mon amour!

But primarily Bangladesh is its residents. May it be because that Bangladesh presents in all its originality, they are the greatest thing it has to offer the country. People here make your trip a memorable one. They remind you of the true meaning of ”important”, ”petty” and what it takes to be ”happy”. Do you really ”take something”, you want to know ”how the country is ticking” you have to get to know people, the kindest and happiest people in the world and we make sure. Let go and see contrasts, diversity, happiness and love, lots of love. We are at your side…

Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2

The situation in Bangladesh is not as bad as one would think. Current figures and statistics can be found in the WHO's weekly assessments. EU citizens are allowed to enter, but proof of a negative COVID-19 test (English-language certificate, not older than 72 hours) is required, which must also be presented (does not apply to children under 10 years of age). This also applies to departure, the tests must be carried out by a testing facility approved in Bangladesh, which we schedule and arrange (note any airline requirements). There are no further restrictions on traveling within the country. Wearing a mask should be a matter of course.
The VOA (Visa on Arrival, airport visa) is suspended until further notice; the visa must be applied for at the embassy. We will send you an invitation or travel confirmation, but collection is currently not possible within the airport building (only passengers are allowed to enter the airport), we will be waiting for you at the exit of Terminal 2.

Updates and breaking news

News and information about travel in Bangladesh and everything that has something to do with it. We try to be as current as possible, but can not guarantee, as well as the completeness of this.

The winter is over! And actually we would be in the best travel time if it weren't for the virus. But now people are vaccinated, vaccinated, vaccinated here too. We made use of the time and, among other things, sharpened our view of Dhaka. Those interested can see the result under the newly created gallery link Specifically in Dhaka. Whether events, museums, (historical) buildings or social institutions, on this page we go into more detail on specials in Dhaka. The last two objects of our interest Ruplal House at Buriganga/Sadarghat and the Christian Cemetery are meanwhile heavily marked by the ravages of time...
The old Ganges or Buriganga as a livelihood for those who live from garbage. The special photo: Water hyacinths and garbage.
Stay healthy!

07 January 2021

Our group tours: FACES OF A NATION (10.01.2021 – 30.01.2021) and ABOUT KINGDOMS AND SULTANATES (31.01.2021 – 13.02.2021) are canceled due to the corona (descriptions here). We hope to see you at the latest next year at the same time! Our optimistic view of the future remains. As well as a breathtaking view of a giant that you can actually enjoy from Bangladesh. His name:
Kangchenjunga Photographed from the Bangladesh border in the far northwest and can be seen under the heading “The special photo”. We used the opportunity to clear out the photo archive, even if it was difficult. But in the 10 (!) Years that we have now existed, quite a bit of image material had accumulated. Anyway, done. You can find the result in The special photo – Archive.
Stay healthy!

The (old) year is dead, long live the (new) year! A year has come to an end, which we will remember in every respect. We wish you that you can implement all your resolutions and that all your wishes and dreams come true! Maybe you are planning a trip to Bangladesh? Then we have a few new goals for you. On the one hand in the northwest:
Tetulia, remote in the northwest, is also known as the “place of dreams” and offers picturesque surroundings, settlements, bamboo groves, temples and tea plantations, a breathtaking view of a giant, the Kangchenjunga, and with Bhitargarh and the Golok Dham Temple in the vicinity (historical) spots… You can find a little insight into this here in our galleries.
Rangpur, located a little further to the east, is also worth a detour, especially since a trip from here to there along the Karatoya is highly recommended. Impressions from Rangpur. And then we have another destination in the east, in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, more precisely in the Rangamati district:
Sajek Valley, the roof of Bangladesh also known as “Queen of Rangamati”, we are in the country’s hills and the Sajek Valley offers a fantastic view of a spectacular area. Convince yourself here!

19 December 2020

Ho, Ho, Ho, who is knocking on our door?
So there are still people who, for whatever reason, are on the go. And wherever they’re here, we'll take care of them too.
But first we wish you all a Merry Christmas! May times come again soon when travel under normal circumstances will be possible.
As already said, one or the other gets lost at our door. On this occasion and because it can’t hurt to be up to date, we have, owing to SARS-CoV-2, adapted the information/entry regulations and FAQ pages to the current regulations.
Every now and then we are asked whether a trip would be possible. Answer: private tours in Bangladesh are quite possible, even at this point in time. We can implement the local requirements, insofar as they exist (the subject is, to a certain extent, “done”) and national tourism has long been running at full speed again.

31 July 2020

COVID-19
Officially confirmed cases: 237,661 deaths: 3,111
Celebrations start tomorrow! From Saturday to Monday you greet again with "Eid Mubarak", i.e. it is the time of the sacrfice festival. It is now the second oath in chorona times and slowly the realization is awakening that these times could become the new “normality“...
Visa on Arrival The Visa On Arrival or airport visa was suspended due to a pandemic until further notice.
Hotels & Resorts Tourism is now fully involved again i.e. Resorts from Kuakata to Sylhet welcome guests again!
