General information about traveling in Bangladesh
Not so long ago, it was said: “If you come back from India, you come back from everywhere”. Old news! In the meantime, tourism has penetrated into the country’s last corner. But a former part and present neighbor can certainly claim this. “This is like India, but thirty, forty years ago.” Is probably the most frequent comparison. And that will not change quickly. Originality instead of tourism, school instead of beguiler. However, the infrastructure is hardly designed for foreign travelers. People are a no-brainer, but the country wants to be conquered! A journey through Bangladesh is certainly always an adventure and a challenge you should be aware of. With us Travel in Bangladesh – on YouTube.
Always stay loose.
The infrastructure is still in the early stages. The ratio of the distance traveled to the required time should be outside your imagination. Fifty kilometers you can make in two hours, sometimes you need five. This is part of the journey, normality – and we want to get to know it. The country is only conditionally suitable for sightseeing marathons, as we are only conditionally suitable as organizer of the same (Our travel philosophy). With an overly ambitious travel plan, you are only putting yourself under pressure. Traveling in Bangladesh is a tough one anyway! It is the sum of the individual parts, whether physical or mental. Traffic noise, noise, dust, heat, people, etc. – all of this! Take your time, plunge into and experience the country and its people.
Always be polite.
The people here are, without a doubt, one of the most cordial, amiable and joyous in the world – but also the most curious. Aside from Dhaka and Chittagong, the rest of the country will be interested in each of your movements. No matter where you show up, you always represent an attraction. Just in the country people have heard of foreigners, but have never seen one before – their interest is correspondingly great and whether, old or children, this interest runs free. Whenever you stop, a knot of people forms around you. But don’t be afraid, they just want to play and even if the same questions are annoying you (home country, family status, religion) – always be polite.
