  • Actually, we were warned. (11/14)

Actually, we were warned.

Right from the start we were sensitively prepared that a two-week tour of Bangladesh quite a challenge. The relatively short duration, although it brings with that out of the many interesting destinations only some can be selected. Nevertheless partial long and not always easily manageable journeys are to complete. But we were more than compensated by a variety of enriching experiences and impressions:

The bustling Dhaka, particularly Old Dhaka with Sadarghat and a textile factory, the infamous ship breaking yards in Chittagong, historical monuments in Kalifatabad and Puthia where Mr. Beshwana this one presented in a unique way, the river fishermen in Narail working together yet with otters, stunning natural beauty in the Chittagong Hill Tracts and the Sundarbans, where we are not encountered the tiger itself, but on his paw prints and the remains of his prey, an extraordinary experience at Homestay, where we were taken away even more warmly in a family environment of the usual tourist infrastructure, the relaxing beach stay at St. Martin's Island and above all, countless encounters with open-minded and lively people, who always made us feel welcome guests.

The Lonesome Traveler team has us very professional and caring cared for during the whole time – from the tour guides with Assistant to the fantastically safe, predictive driver. If something did not work out as planned, they always found a solution. Our hosts gives us a look at the beautiful, fascinating sides of Bangladesh. Existing problems are not hidden or repressed. It has also not gone away about what can be changed for the people for the better. They are therefore their motto “We love Bangladesh. We hate prejudices” full justice to become.
